ive been growing my hair for nearly a year now and its getting quite long, now it is long im sick of it. Typical girl i know. im thinking of going for quite a straight short style, its half way down my back and naturally very curly at the min. only thing is my boyfriend said he wont like it and that he doesnt likle my hair straight. should i have it done and take the risk that he wont like it or should i just have a trim?

don't do it for your boyfriend if you like it and it makes you feel good then do it ... there's other things you can do to make it different aswell ... dye it another colour (try semi perm ones to just experiment) or add highlights and/or lowlights ... make the curls softer so it's more wavy ... that's a compromise between curly and straight hair. you could try other things such as adding a fringe, getting layers or having your hair feathered. cutting your hair short after having it long can be a dramatic difference so trim it and see what you think before cutting it all off.

I think you shoild do what makes you feel good about yourself and if your boyfriend is a good one he will like it no matter what.

My daughter has naturally curly hair and when she straightens it looks different for a change but prefer it curly as its natural and suits her. Can have it cut in a shaggy style where when you put the straightners on it gives it a sharp edge but not too short, think you have work on short hair styles a lot more, listen to your boyfriend sometimes they know better what looks nice on women..

If its naturally curly then you would have to be prepared to straighten it each time you wash it! Get it cut to just below your shoulders, have some serious long layers put in, use some moisturising products for curly hair, I'm sure you and your boyfriend would both love it!
