You can totally learn to do it yourself. My kids are 1, 3 and 5 and I have never taken them anywhere. When they are really little I would honestly cut it while they were asleep, lol. For bangs on girls, pull all peices to the center of the forehead and take one snip right under the brow if the hair is wet....works like a charm every time. Make sure you have a good pair of hair scissors too...don't use your coupon cutting scissors! lol

Many shops that deal alot with kids have special chairs or booster seats, and are very good with kids. Better to have it done right, then to do it yourself and risk making a mess and having to take her in anyway.
