Any ideas for a new hair color style with black????

I have short ( a little longer than shoulder length) hair with layers. I want to dye my hair and it want black on the bottom half of my hair and some sort of blonde idea on the top half. i was thinking maybe keeping my natural brown color on the top and just putting streaks and still have black on bottom, or i could do the bottom half black, and have the top half split in half again (kinda like 3 layers on with MORE black and less of the other 2 colors) and have the middle layer be borown (Natural) and the top be blonde..i dont know what a good looking style would be that is origional so it doesnt seem like im copying anyone.. but i dont want it to look stupid. I just need an idea for the top panel cause the bottom half is DEFINATELY going to be Black. Thanks

I don't know about your skin tone as your hair colour should make you look more vibrant rather than looking washed out. Regardless, how about a shade of red? It is certainly striking! Maybe you could go for a coppery red tone...
